Lamellar armour Vase

Crafted from unglazed porcelain tiles with a modular, four-corner perforation design, this work draws inspiration from the construction principles of armour. Interconnected by aluminium wire, it forms a refined vase. The piece explores innovative approaches to ceramic forming, achieving a synthesis of structure and aesthetics through modular construction. The porcelain tiles are meticulously grouped by curvature and size, layered one upon another, creating a dynamic interplay of lines and surfaces that reveals the material’s inherent purity and strength. The aluminium wire, woven into a flexible framework, endows the vase with a resilient yet pliable structure, offering a tactile experience distinct from the rigidity of conventional objects, fostering a unique dialogue between material and sensation.
